The Authorizations system of Ísland.is system allows individuals to log in on behalf of companies, public entities, children, and those who have given them a mandate.
A mandate is either granted by an individual or arises from a relationship. Mandates based on relationships are drawn from the registers of the institution responsible for the registration in question, for example, the company’s prose links are retrieved from the company register (ice. Fyrirtækjaskrá) of Skatturinn Tax Office.
Parents automatically have a mandate for their children until the age of 16.
Power of attorney holders automatically have a mandate over company data and can grant access to others.
When individuals register on behalf of others, they start by logging in with their own electronic ID, then their mandates are retrieved from the authorization system. Individuals are always logged in to the system to ensure security and traceability.
Those who hold signatory authority on behalf of a company or organizations can log in to My Pages on Ísland.is if their authority is registered (ice. prókúruhafaskrá) with Skatturinn: Iceland Revenue and Customs.
You log into My Pages with your personal electronic ID.
You change user by clicking your name in the upper right corner and selecting Switch user.
Then you see a list of companies/organizations you can log in on behalf of.
If you do not see a listing for the company or organization that your have signatory authority on behalf of please contact Skatturinn: Iceland Revenue and Customs.
Those who hold signatory authority on behalf of a company or organization can also give other individuals access to My Pages, see further information in the chapter Granting access to others - companies.
Public entities must register a signatory authority holder (ice. prókúruhafi) with Skatturinn the Iceland Revenue and Customs to access My Pages and the authorization system on Ísland.is. When that registration is active, the signatory authority holder can see that entities data on My Pages and give others access to it.

You change user by clicking your name in the upper right corner and selecting Switch user.
Then you can see the entities, companies or organizations on which you can log in on behalf of.
Those who hold a signatory authority on behalf of a institution, municipality or public entity can also give other individuals access to My Pages through the authorization system on Ísland.is, see further information in the chapter Granting access to others - companies.
Guardians can log in to My Pages on Ísland.is on behalf of their children, regardless of their residence. The system retrieves information about custody from Registers Iceland. If you do not see the child's name, where there is a custody relationship in place, please contact Registers Iceland.

Then you see a list of the children you can log in on behalf of.

Then you can see a list of the persons and companies you have a mandate (ice. umboð) for and can access those My Pages.
Individuals who, due to their disability, are unable to protect their rights are entitled to choose an advocate to do so. District Commissioners manage applications and contracts between individuals and personal advocates. Anyone who is unable to take care of themselves can apply for a personal advocate.
The advocate can log in to My Pages Ísland.is and access My Pages on behalf of those they assist if the contract specifies those rights.

Granting mandate to others
Individuals, legal entities and public entities can authorize and give others access to data and services with a mandate (ice. umboð) through the authorization system on Ísland.is.
Mandates are granted electronically through My pages on Ísland.is.
Individuals can give access to others with a mandate (ice. umboð), in a few simple steps.
You log in with your personal electronic ID on My pages.
You select Access Control.
There you can choose who you want to grant access to, to which data or system components and for how long the access should be active.
The individual who receives the mandate can then log in on the mandate grantor's behalf.
People with signatory authority for a company or institution can grant others access on behalf of their companies with a mandate (ice. umboð). This is done in a few simple steps:
You log in to My pages Ísland.is as a company (or switch to the company in the upper right corner).
You select Access Control.
You can choose who to grant access to, the system components or data the person can use, and for how long the access should be active.
Delegation of the access control rights - A signatory authority (ice. prókúruhafi) gives a third party the authority to grant power of attorney to another on behalf of the signatory authority holder.
People with signatory authority can give Access rights to individuals, those who receive this authority can grant access to others on behalf of the signatory authority holder. It is done in a few simple steps:
You log in to My pages Ísland.is as a company (or switch to the company in the upper right corner).
You select Access Control.
Select the person who should have the rights, check Access Control and the system components that the person should be able to see and give others access to.
Those who receive the authorization can then log in on behalf of the company and grant others access to the selected company's data.
Individuals who do not have an electronic ID can register an agent to handle matters on their behalf. The person who receives a power of attorney can subsequently log in to view data that the mandate has access to.
Please note that this authorisation provides general authorisation for digital services through the Ísland.is authorisation system. It does not provide authorisation to other services or systems.
Only individuals can grant power of attorney to other individuals on paper; this application is not intended for companies.
