It is possible to apply to the Icelandic Transportation for an exemption from the below provisions for commercial operations of drones, provided that safety is not compromised.
Maximum Take Off Weight in urban area >7kg
Maximum Take Off Weight in rural area >25 kg
Restriction on flying over crowd
Flights where aerial restrictions apply
Clauses in flight operations manual
Clauses on maximum altitude of 120 m
Clauses on prohibition of flight beyond line of sight (BVLOS)
Distance from public buildings/properties 150 m
