<p>This programme prepares students to teach Icelandic in Icelandic compulsory schools. The programme is open to anyone who has completed a BEd degree in general teacher education specialising in Icelandic teaching, or a BA/BS degree in a related subject. Certified compulsory school teachers may apply for the programme regardless of specialisation in previous studies.</p><h4>Is the program for you??</h4><ul>

<li>Master's thesis, 30 ECTS</li>

<p>Students choose between the following specialisations based on their academic background:</p>

<li>Icelandic teaching - five year teacher education (following BEd degree)</li>
<li>Teaching Icelandic as a second language - five year teacher education (following BEd degree)</li>
<li>General teacher education following BA/BS degree</li>
<li>Icelandic teaching for licensed teachers</li>
<li>Teaching Icelandic as a second language<strong> for licensed teachers</strong></li>
</ul>

<p>Námið býr nemendur undir íslenskukennslu í grunnskóla. Námið er opið þeim sem hafa lokið B.Ed.-prófi í grunnskólakennslu með áherslu á íslensku, eða BA/BS-prófi í skyldum greinum. Grunnskólakennarar með leyfisbréf geti sótt námið óháð sérhæfingu í fyrra námi.</p><h4>Er námið fyrir þig?</h4><ul>

<p>Nemendur velja eitt af eftirtöldum kjörsviðum miðað við fyrra nám:</p>

<li>Sérhæfing í kennslu íslensku í fimm ára kennaranámi (eftir B.Ed. próf)</li>
<li>Sérhæfing í kennslu íslensku sem annars máls í fimm ára kennaranámi&nbsp;(eftir B.Ed. próf)</li>
<li>Kennslufræði grunnskóla að loknu BA/BS-prófi&nbsp;</li>
<li>Íslenska fyrir kennara með leyfisbréf</li>
<li>Sérhæfing í kennslu íslensku sem annars máls <strong>fyrir kennara með leyfisbréf</strong></li>
