This programme prepares students to teach foreign languages. The programme is open to anyone who has completed a BEd degree in general teacher education specialising in foreign language teaching, or a BA/BS degree in a related subject. Certified compulsory school teachers may apply for the programme regardless of specialisation in previous studies.

MT students complete extra courses instead of a 30 ECTS final project.

What is the study about?

The programme is 120 ECTS and is organised as two years of full-time study or up to four years of part-time study.

Students choose between the following specialisations based on their academic background:

• English - five year teacher education (following BEd degree)

• Danish - five year teacher education (following BEd degree)

• General teacher education following BA/BS degree

• Foreign language teaching for licensed teachers

• This is a Master’s programme at stage 2.1; students will need to complete a programme at stage 2.2 before applying for doctoral studies. Completing the programme allows you to apply for Master's programmes at stage 2.2.
