Application for a grant from the Tourist Sites Protection Fund 2024

The Tourist Site Protection Fund finances developments on tourist sites and tourist routes owned or managed by municipalities and private entities.

Application deadline

The application period is from 11 September to Thursday 19 October at 13:00. Applications received after that date shall not be considered.

Applications

The applicant is requested to choose either form I or form II, depending on the nature of the project.

I - Services/facilities at tourist destination or tourist route

This involves:

• A project at a place, not already defined as a tourist destination, but the person in question is interested in making it such - a new development.

• New services or facilities at an already defined tourist destination. The project will increase the capacity of the site/region and/or relate to safety or nature conservation.

II - Improvements in the protection of nature and/or the safety of the tourist destination or tourist route

This involves:

• A project that improves or restores existing facilities in a tourist destination that are related to safety or nature conservation.

• Increased capacity at the tourist reception, but service levels are not increased. If there is a construction permit required, the project must select I – (New) services/facilities on the tourist destination / tourist route.

The Fund may finance projects relating to:

• Tourist safety.

• Nature conservation and development.

• The maintenance and protection of structures and nature.

• The financing of the preparatory work and design work necessary for the projects mentioned above. The proposed project must be described in the application in such a way that it is possible to assess its eligibility for funding.
