At the beginning of each calendar year, a usage summary must be submitted for registered home accommodation for the previous year.
The usage summary must state:
total revenue for the calendar year
how income from the rent was divided between months
which days the space or spaces were rented
Submission of the usage summary is a condition for renewal of the registration.
The usage summary must be submitted even if you don't intend to renew your home-stay. If it is not submitted, it may be subject to fines. Administrative fines may range from 10 thousand ISK to 1 million ISK per violation.
