Parliamentary elections 2024

Do I need to show ID when voting?

In order to vote, a voter must prove his/her identity.

The best way for the voter is to bring an identity document with a photograph to the polling station, such as a driver's license or passport, to identify him/herself.

Digital driver’s licenses are valid documents at elections. They are scanned at the polling station for verification.

If a voter does not possess identity documents with a photo, he/she can, for example, get someone he/she knows and has identity documents to certify his/her identity.
