Co-payment for occupational therapy

Individual occupational therapy is paid for by Gigtarfélag Íslands and Sjálfsbjörg in Akureyri. Payment is made according to the co-payment system of Iceland Health. The conditions for participation in payment are that a request is made with a diagnosis from a doctor. A request is made 15 times in 365 days based on the first treatment. If further treatment is needed, the occupational therapist must apply for a follow-up exchange to Iceland Health.
