The Open Government Accounts website (opnirreikningar.is) provides access to information on the use of public funds and promotes transparency in government operations. It allows users to view invoices paid by ministries and government institutions in the A‑section of the State Budget.

The data is updated monthly. Users can search by institution, supplier, type of expense, and payment period.

The website displays payments for goods and services processed through Orri’s accounts payable system. Payroll, grants, and certain other payments are not published.

When publishing information, compliance is ensured with the Act on Data Protection and the Processing of Personal Data No. 90/2018, the Information Act No. 140/2012, and the Administrative Procedures Act No. 37/1993. Sensitive information and data relating to the private interests of individuals or companies are not disclosed.
