Open for nominations for the Public innovation Prize 2025

The nominations for the Innovation Prize 2025 are now open. The aim of the prize is to recognize outstanding achievements in public innovation over the past 12 months.
Public innovation includes the improvement, implementation or change of public practices that create or increase value in public sector activities. The following categories of awards may be nominated:
A person in a public function
Ministry / Government Agency
Municipality / Municipality establishment
Public limited company
The jury 2025
The nominations will be evaluated by the jury of representatives of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, the Financial Management Authority and last year’s winners:
Ingþór Karl Eiríksson - Director of the Financial Management Authority (Chairman)
Íris Huld Christersdóttir – Specialist of the Office of Management and Reform at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs
Bryndís Pétursdóttir – Project Manager of the District Commissioner’s Council (Award Winner 2024)
Styrmir Erlingsson – Director of the Electronic Centre for the Welfare Department of the City of Reykjavík (winner of the prize in 2024)
Bragi Bjarnason - Mayor of the Municipality of Árborg (holder of the prize in 2024)
The prize will be awarded on 13 May at 16 pm in Hverfanda, Katrínartún 6 (entrance from Britartún).
