The EDPB adopts a work programme for 2026-2027
13th February 2026
The European Data Protection Board (EDPB) has published its work programme for 2026-2027. The plan is based on the EDPB's policy and the issues identified as most urgent for stakeholders. In addition, the plan is based on the commitments made by Member States under the Helsinki Statement.
The plan is based on the four main pillars of the EDPB’s strategy:
Strengthening harmonisation and promoting compliance
Strengthening a common culture and effective cooperation
Protecting fundamental rights in the digital society
Contributing to the international debate on data protection.
The EDPB intends to achieve its objectives, among other things, by providing clear guidance on key issues and concepts under the legislation and by enhancing dialogue between institutions and stakeholders.
