LinkedIn begins training its artificial intelligence model on users personal data – user prompted to review privacy settings
26th September 2025
LinkedIn will soon begin training its artificial intelligence model on users personal data. Users are encouraged to consider their privacy settings by November 3rd.

The social networking site LinkedIn has informed its users that the site will start using various data to train its artificial intelligence model. The processing is scheduled to begin on November 3rd.
Users who wish to prevent their personal data from being used for this purpose must review their privacy settings before that time. Specifically, users must have changed their settings in such a way that LinkedIn may not use their personal data and content they have created to train their AI model.
To change your settings, click on the main menu and selects "Settings & Privacy".

You select “Data Privacy” in the menu on the left and finally click on “Data for Generative AI Improvement”.

Here it is automatically set "On" and you need to click the button to turn off the setting.
