On 28 January, the Data Protection Authority held a seminar titled “Data Culture and the Security of Personal Data in a Modern Society”.

On 28 January, the Data Protection Authority held the seminar “Data Culture and the Security of Personal Data in a Modern Society”. The seminar was held in celebration of the International Data Protection Day and was very well attended, with a total of 197 people registered, confirming the great interest in the issue and its importance. The seminar discussed various issues concerning cyber security, the security of personal data and new challenges in light of the rapid development of technology and changes around the world.

The seminar was held in cooperation with foreign and Icelandic experts who shared their knowledge and opinions with the participants.

There was a good atmosphere at the event and a lot of interest in the topics. Those who missed the seminar can see a recording of it on the Data Protection Authority website. The recording will be available for 30 days, or until the end of February.

The event was also a reminder of the importance of protecting personal data and a continued discussion and education in this field.

The recording is divided into two parts: before and after the break according to the agenda of the seminar.
