Error in Provisional Kilometer Fee Assessment Has Been Corrected

A system error affecting the provisional kilometer fee assessment for June 2026 for vehicles sold earlier this year has now been corrected. Skatturinn has reversed the incorrect assessments, and the payment claims have been updated.
If the incorrect claim has already been paid, a refund will be issued without delay. Those affected by the error will receive a notification in their Digital Inbox on Ísland.is.
