Infoday - GenAI Meets Public Administrations | Shaping Europe’s digital future

The European Union is holding an online information day on Wednesday, 17 December 2025, from 13:00–15:00 (GMT) about a new call under the Digital Europe Programme (DEP) that supports the development of a Generative AI (GenAI) ecosystem in public administration.
The call Apply AI: GenAI for the public administrations (DIGITAL-2026-AI-09-GENAI-PA) is a Coordination and Support Action (CSA) funded at 100%, with a budget of €1.8 million over 36 months. It is aimed at universities, research and technology organisations, non-profit organisations, and other stakeholders.
The call requires collaboration between at least three independent applicants from at least three different countries. This meeting therefore provides an opportunity to introduce yourself and connect with others who are interested in this call.
Participation in this project may offer an opportunity for Icelandic stakeholders to safeguard the interests of countries outside the EU, particularly with regard to smaller nations with low-resource languages.
