About the EEA Civil Society Fund

The EEA Civil Society Fund is a dedicated fund within the EEA and Norway Grants 2021–2028. It supports civil society organisations and NGOs in 15 EU countries, with the aim of strengthening democracy, human rights and civil society.

The Fund is financed by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.

The main objectives of the Fund are to:

• strengthen democracy and the rule of law;

• protect and promote human rights;

• strengthen civil society, including by increasing the capacity and sustainability of civil society organisations; and

• promote public participation and engagement in democratic processes.
