Representatives of the European Centre for Modern Languages (ECML) in Iceland, Eyjólfur Már Sigurðsson and Miriam Petra Ómarsdóttir Awad from Rannís, will host an open online information session on 2 November, from 15:00 to 15:30 (Icelandic time) via Microsoft Teams.

The session will introduce the training and consultancy opportunities available through ECML for language teachers and other professionals working in language education, second-language acquisition, and educational sciences. These activities aim to strengthen the quality of language teaching, support professional development, and promote innovative approaches to the teaching of foreign languages and Icelandic as a second language.

Applications are now open for ECML training and consultancy activities in 2027. Applicants may apply for activities delivered directly by ECML or for initiatives organised in cooperation between ECML and the European Commission.

The latter provide additional funding opportunities, including support for local organisers and travel grants for participants from outside the capital area.
