Regional Councils comments on comments made on the description

Descriptions for the development of coastal area planning in the East Fjords and West Fjords were advertised on 7 May and also presented at open briefings streamed on the website of the Icelandic National Planning Agency. The regional councils have prepared a summary of written comments received during the briefings and the regional councils’ comments on them.
The presentation of the proposal gave the authorities of the surrounding municipalities and those with knowledge of the nature and exploitation of the area the opportunity to communicate information about the conditions and activities in the area that are important to consider before deciding on the demarcation of the farming area. The Icelandic National Planning Agency is currently working on a review to the Marine Research Institute, where the comments received during the presentation will be explained.
