Measurement Uncertainty: Fundamentals, Calculations & Practical Application

ISAC, the Icelandic Service for Accreditation, is offering a training course on calibration and measurement uncertainty on 28 January 2026.
The course provides an overview of measurement uncertainty, its importance, and how it is calculated and evaluated in practice. Participants will gain both a solid theoretical foundation and practical guidance on defining, documenting, and applying measurement uncertainty in decision-making. The aim is to ensure a clear understanding of how uncertainty components are identified and how measurement uncertainty is calculated for measurement methods and instruments.
The course is primarily intended for ISAC specialists but is open to all and is suitable for technical professionals, quality managers, and anyone involved in measurements, testing, certification, or research.
The course will be delivered online by Roland Lundberg, an expert from the Swedish accreditation body Swedac. The course language is English, and training materials will be available in both Icelandic and English.
