Innovation Day will shine a spotlight on innovation, development projects, and research initiatives within the institution. During the event, attendees will gain insight into exciting projects led by staff members, learn about new solutions in healthcare services, and explore the developments shaping the future of healthcare for the people of South Iceland.

The program will feature a wide range of engaging presentations and project showcases that reflect the forward-thinking approach, energy, and creativity found within the South Iceland Health Institution (HSU).

Among the presentations will be talks by physicians who use different artificial intelligence solutions in their daily practice. One presentation will focus on the use of AI in primary care consultations, while another will explore how AI supports the interpretation of diagnostic imaging in the emergency department. These technologies have helped increase efficiency and productivity while also enhancing patient safety. The program will also include a presentation on Energetic Kids, a lifestyle intervention program offered through primary healthcare for children living with obesity and their families.
