The book ,,Amma nammigrís – engin venjuleg amma" by Gunna Stella is a heartwarming and humorous children’s story about a grandmother who jumps on a trampoline, does somersaults, and can eat an incredible amount of candy. However, something new is happening with Grandma these days—she has begun to forget. Grandma has Alzheimer’s disease.

The book contains entertaining and funny stories about Grandma, based on real events, as Gunna Stella’s mother has Alzheimer’s. The story is told from the perspective of a grandchild who shares joy, laughter, and love with their grandmother in a sincere and touching way.

In addition to being an enjoyable read, the book is educational. It explains Alzheimer’s disease in a simple and accessible way and helps children understand what it means when a loved one begins to forget.
