Recently, the emergency room of HSU received a handful of donations from the institution’s benefactors.
Oddfellow women in Halldórustígur gave the emergency department a generous gift for the department. They donated four wheeled saddle chairs worth ISK 500,000, which will be useful in the operations of the emergency department. The chairs are light and smooth, which greatly improves the work environment of the staff. We thank them very much for their support.

They donated the Sara Stedy aid worth ISK 276,000, which will help greatly with patient care in the ward, but no aid was available in the ward like this. The aid is most useful for individuals who can stand but have difficulty walking. Lionsklúbburinn Dinkur also donated a new blood transfusion cart worth ISK 279,000. The new blood transfusion cart is a great addition to the ward and will greatly improve nurses’ work facilities in needle settings and blood transfusions. We thank them very much for their support.

These organizations are working hard to raise funds for all these donors, who are all a welcome addition to the institution's equipment, which improves the living conditions and safety of patients and staff. It is invaluable to feel the affection that such donations bring and can never be fully appreciated. HSU sincerely thanks for the donations and wishes all these organizations well in their selfless work.
