September will be yellow again this year, as institutions, NGOs and other partners join forces to raise awareness of mental well-being and of suicide prevention.

Yellow September will be formally opened on Tuesday, 1 September, at Reykjavík University. The opening ceremony will feature a varied programme of speeches, music and educational content. Diverse participation across the country
During Yellow September, a range of events and projects will take place across the country. Schools, workplaces, sports and leisure clubs, municipalities, companies and the general public are encouraged to participate in their own way.
Yellow is the campaign's symbol, representing hope, warmth, and solidarity. Participation can include wearing yellow, illuminating buildings, organising events, or using the opportunity to discuss well-being and highlight the importance of seeking and providing support.
