The Prize Game

Students from all participating schools were invited to take part in the Prevention Day competition by submitting creative solutions to challenges related to screen time, mobile phones, and social media. Submissions could be made individually or in groups of up to four, and accepted formats included videos, songs, posters, or other electronic materials.

A jury composed of representatives from partner organisations reviewed 25 submissions—six from compulsory school students and 19 from upper secondary school students. The entries were highly diverse, and many demonstrated remarkable creativity, making the final selection both exciting and challenging.

The winners in the compulsory school category are Arnar Hannesson, Alexander Valur B. Garðarsson, Andri Fannar Andrésson, and Ómar Andri Kristjánsson, Gerðaskóli, Suðurnesjabær. Their winning submission was a poster titled “Don’t Waste Time on the Phone.”
