A new review of the frequency of respiratory infections and hospitalizations in Iceland in autumn compares the situation in Europe.

The number of COVID-19 diagnoses has increased in recent weeks, based on the number of diagnoses this summer and isolated cases of influenza that have been detected but the influenza pandemic has not yet arrived. The common cold and cold symptoms are common in the community and results from respiratory samples show that rhinovirus is the most common cause.
