This winter, children born on May 1, 2025 or later, as well as children aged 6–23 months who would otherwise have been invited by the Children’s Hospital (Barnaspítali Hringsins) for monthly palivizumab treatments during the RSV season, will be eligible.

Children born this winter, approximately up until March 31, 2026, will be able to receive the vaccination shortly after birth.

Further information about RSV infections and vaccinations against RSV can be found on the website of the Directorate of Health.
