The symposium is organised by Lífbrú – Centre for Suicide Prevention at the Directorate of Health and Landspítali - University Hospital. It is intended for healthcare professionals and others interested in suicide prevention.

13:00–14:00 - Client Suicide: The Impact on Professionals, and Support and Response Following a Suicide. Dr Regina Seibl is a specialist at Pro Mente Tirol and at PSZ Tirol (Centre for Acute and Trauma Services) in Innsbruck, Austria. Among other things, she teaches post-suicide support and Mental Health First Aid. She is a member of SUPRA's (Suicide Prevention Austria) expert council and leads the organisation's working group on post-suicide support
14:00-14:15 - Safety Plan for Patients at Risk of Suicide: Staff Training and Implementation in Mental Health Services. Dr Berglind Guðmundsdóttir, Specialist in Clinical Psychology at Landspítali - University Hospital and Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Iceland
