Lion drawers Self and Emblems donate to HSU
on 27 October 2022, the Lions Club formally handed Embla and the Lions Club of Selfoss over to the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at HSU in Selfoss, a state-of-the-art euthanasia bed, along with a nightstand, an air mattress and other accessories.
The total proceeds of the gift are 1,725,190. The bed has been brought into use this autumn and has already proved its worth. This bed is a rolling bed which relieves the care of the patient as much as possible and helps staff to take care of the bed in the best possible way. There is a lot of effort in the nursing department to optimize palliative care and it is therefore invaluable to find support in this way.
The staff of the Faculty of Medicine will thank you so much for your kind gesture and encourage the South Icelanders to support the good work of the Lions. This is not the first time the Lions have been a supporter of HSU and the Foundation is extremely fortunate to have such good sponsors.
