A 100% position as a customer service representative is open for application at Sjónstöðin – the Service and Knowledge Center for the blind, visually impaired, and individuals with combined vision and hearing impairment.

Sjónstöðin provides counseling, education, and support with the goal of increasing opportunities for those who are blind, visually impaired, or have combined vision and hearing impairments to participate and engage fully in all areas of society, on equal terms with others, with an emphasis on support for education, independent living, active leisure activities, and employment participation.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Management of the reception at the institution

  • General phone answering and information provision

  • Document management and filing

  • Management of eyeglass reimbursements

Qualifications

  • Good computer skills

  • Good proficiency in written and spoken Icelandic and English

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a strong service orientation

  • Organizational skills, independence, flexibility, and initiative in the job

Further information about the position

Salary according to the applicable collective agreement made by the Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs and Sameyki.
