Information on the remaining fishing obligation is sent to digital mailbox at Íslands.is.

The Directorate of Fisheries has compiled information on vessels and sent them to the functional mailbox of parties that have vessels that have not yet complied with fishing obligations, i.e. to fish 50% of the allocated catch limit and the catch limit that was transferred from the previous year.

Vessels that are allocated catch quota must catch at least 50% of the allocated catch quota or the vessel's quota shares will be revoked. A vessel can obtain an exemption from the fishing obligation if the vessel is delayed from fishing for at least 4 months due to damage or major breakdowns.

The Directorate of Fisheries has compiled information on vessels and sent them to the functional mailbox of parties that have vessels that have not yet complied with fishing obligations, i.e. to fish 50% of the allocated catch limit and the catch limit that was transferred from the previous year. Parties who own vessels that have not met the fishing obligation have received a notification published in the digital mailbox on island.is.

A total of 159 vessels have not fulfilled it´s fishing obligation at this point.
