Information on knee and hip replacement surgery now available in an interactive dashboard
An interactive dashboard showing the number of awaited hip and knee replacement surgeries, along with the number of performed surgical procedures since 2021, has now been published on the website of the Directorate of Health.

The dashboard will be updated monthly. It is based on real-time data that originates in medical health records of parties performing joint replacement surgeries. The waiting list database is part of the Hospital Discharge Register, one of the Directorate of Health's health registers. This addition to the register was prepared with the support of the Ministry of Health.
The purpose of this new interactive dashboard is to increase access to information on joint replacement surgeries in Iceland.
