Gylfi Þór hired to coordinate Grindavík

The Prime Minister has temporarily appointed Gylfi Thor Thorsteinsson, the team leader at the Red Cross, to lead coordination for Grindavík. He will coordinate communication and information to Grindvíkingar regarding the earthquake on Reykjanes, among other things.

Gylfi Þór has extensive experience in complex and extensive projects. These include the reception of refugees from Ukraine, the installation and operation of epidemic houses during COVID, as well as other work for the Red Cross.
