Daily fines for non-submission of VOR reports
Parties that trade with fish must submit weighing and disposition reports (VOR reports) to the Directorate of Fisheries no later than the 20th of each month for trading with marine catch from the previous month.
In the summer of 2022, a change was made to the daily fine measures of the Directorate of Fisheries due to non-submission of VOR reports in the Act on handling of marine resources. Fiskistofa intends to use the said remedy in case of non-payment. Therefore, entities that do business with catch are challenged to submit reports on time to avoid the imposition of daily fines.
