Changes to housing loan payment terms
You can apply for changes to payment terms of HMS loans.
When applying, you can choose to change the terms for one or more loans. A HMS consultant will contact you by email when the application has been processed or request more information if needed.
You can apply for the following changes:
Change address on payment slip
HMS housing loans are only for the purchase of apartments for personal use, and therefore the borrower is expected to have legal residence in the apartment the loan is for. Should there be some urgent reasons for it, you can apply to have the address on the payment slips changed temporarily.
Cancel the home delivery of payment slips
All HMS loan payment slips are electronic. You can request to have the payment slips mailed to you on paper and then cancel the home delivery when it is no longer needed.
Change the recipient of payment slips
Payment slips can only be registered to one recipient even though the loan has more than one payer. You can apply for a change to the recipient of the payment slips, for example if a co-payer wants to be registered as recipient instead of the current one. This application does not apply to a change of ownership of the property.
Cancel payment detainment
In 2009 payment detainment was applied to all personal loans. During an economic downturn it is intended to ease the payment burden of households, especially where the payment burden is a high percentage of the disposable income. Please note however that payment detainment will lead to increased cost for the borrower in the form of interest and indexation as the principal is paid off more slowly.
Change the number of due dates per year
You can choose to pay 4 times or 12 times a year.
