There are two Service Centers open for the residents of Grindavik.
The Service Centre in Reykjavik is located in Tollhúsið, Tryggvagata 19.
From and including Thursday, May 2nd, the opening hours of the service center at Tollhúsinu, Tryggvagata 19 in Reykjavik, will be from 12-16 on weekdays.
The Grindavík municipality offices, located in Tollhúsið, Tryggvagata 19, Reykjavík, are open from 10-16 on weekdays and appointments with social workers can be booked by telephone, 420-1100 or by email at grindavik@grindavik.is
The Service Center in Reykjanesbær is located at Smiðjuvellir 8. Open on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 14:00 to 17:00.
The service center at Smiðjuvöllum 8 in Reykjanesbær will be open from 14-16 on Mondays and Tuesdays. The opening hours of the service center in Grindavíkurbær at Tollhúsinu are from 10-16 on weekdays.
The service centers projects involve support for the residents of Grindavík and others who have in some way been affected by the earthquake in Reykjanes.
It offers:
place for people to be together and coffee
play area for children
information, education and counselling.
All services will be implemented in accordance with the needs and wishes of the inhabitants of Grindavík.
The Debtors' Ombudsman (UMS) provides individuals with free counseling for financial problems and payment difficulties. The Ombudsman has a counselor on duty every weekday between 10 am and 15 pm at Hlíðasmári 11.
