The Directorate of Health, the VIRK and the Administration of Occupational Safety and Health offer a micro-conference on health-promoting workplaces with Marie Kingston - author of the book "Stop Stress" and "The Stress Staircase" - at the Grand Hotel on Wednesday 18 May.

Admission to the conference is free.

Mary Kingston is also hosting a workshop on the same day on stress and workplaces, which can be used, for example, by managers, at the Grand Hotel, 13:00-16:00, Wednesday 18 March. The workshop is conducted in English and the admission fee for the workshop is ISK 9,000.

Please note that the conditions for participation in the workshop are set at the microconference earlier in the day, since Marie Kingston will be presenting the elements that will be worked on in the workshop and will not repeat them.

Marie Kinsgston is a work psychologist who has worked with stress, leadership and organisational development in companies and institutions for more than 20 years. She is the author of several books on stress, including the award-winning book, which has been translated into English, Russian and Japanese.

Marie is the founder of Kingston Consulting, a company that offers leadership and organisational development, management training and stress management and prevention for organisations.

The micro-conference is about workplace health promotion organised by the Directorate of Health, the Directorate of Health and the Administration of Occupational Safety and Health. The three institutions have a good collaboration between health promotion and prevention in the workplace.

The aim is to promote better health and well-being of the working population in workplaces, to prevent burnout and to reduce dropout from the labour market.
