Application for payment schedule

The project aimed to bring applications for payment plans into electronic form.

The application covers the largest categories of payment plans and over 80% of all payment plans are covered by the criteria needed to process them in this new process.

This new application enables users to see an overview of all their debts to the State, the route to which payment can be used to distribute each debt, the minimum payment and the time required to settle the debt in relation to a certain amount per month. Users are given much better control and oversight of their own debt and can put together a payment schedule that suits their needs within the limits set by the Financial Management Authority.

Challenge:

The complexity here is to set up debt and different types of payment distributions in the most understandable way for users. There was also a need to review the process by which a user sets up a payment schedule for more than one debt, as it can be paid differently, with different maximum or minimum payments depending on the type of user or by user.

Benefits:

All payment plans of the taxpayers have been put together manually by the collectors so far. This solution, which covers most of the cases where a payment plan needs to be set up, saves collectors an enormous amount of time where users compose the plans themselves and when an application is submitted, the data is sent directly to the Financial Management system. This also gives users a much more comprehensive view of their debt.
