If a work machine is taken out of use, temporarily or permanently, it must be deregistered. It is done on My Pages on the Administration of Occupational Safety and Health webpage.
During the deregistration process, you must provide a reason for the deregistration.
Temporary deregistration
Temporary deregistration may be if a machine:
is not in use
is in storage
is broken or awaiting repair
is sent out of the country on a temporary assignment
cannot be found
Machines that are temporarily deregistered can be re-registered. You need to contact the customer service of the Administration of Occupational Safety and Health.
Final deregistration
Final deregistration can be if a machine is:
sold out of the country
discarded or sold for scrap
used for spare parts
Machines that are permanently deregistered can be re-registered. They must be checked by an inspector from the Administration of Occupational Safety and Health before re-registration is possible.
