Pre-registration of vehicle

All vehicles that are authorised within the EEA are permitted in Iceland.

Registered damage vehicles are not allowed to be imported.

Technical certificate

The vehicle is to be imported from a non-European country, and must be accompanied by a technical certificate from an approved technical service, demonstrating that the vehicle complies with European requirements regarding pollution.
