Motor vehicle tenderers may use trial plates to transport unregistered vehicles from one location to another for registration purposes, for trials or for promotional activities.
Transport for inspection: The vehicle may be transported from the port to the importers'' storage place, between storage facilities and for inspection.
Driving experience: A test mark may be used on a vehicle during a test run. Vehicles with a trial mark may not be used outside the opening hours of the commission period and the vehicle may not be kept at a residential building overnight.
Promotional activities: trial plates may be used on vehicles used for promotional activities, in advertising and in press lending.
A representative with a representative, shipping companies and a waiting shop may hire a trial badge for a year at a time.
A fee shall be paid in accordance with the tariff of the Icelandic Transportation Authority. The liability insurance of the probationary mark must be demonstrated by an attestation from the insurance company.
Individuals cannot get a trial badge issued but can get short-term badges to transport unregistered vehicles for inspection.
