Tips and comments on driving education
One of the ways in which the Icelandic Transportation Authority can carry out checks on driving training is to receive suggestions on the practices of regulated entities.
The Icelandic Transportation Authority shall monitor that the activities of driving instructors, driving schools, risk education training centers and examiners are conducted in accordance with law, regulation and curriculum guides. One of the ways in which the Icelandic Transportation Authority can perform the above-mentioned monitoring role in driving education is to receive suggestions on the practices of regulated entities.
Reminders on the activities of regulated parties in driving training provide the Icelandic Transportation Authority with important information and are therefore very welcome.
Suggestions and comments
All suggestions received by the Transport Agency are evaluated and examined to see if there is a reason for further consideration. The suggestions are received by employees in the driver´s education department who evaluate and record them. If the institution considers there is a reason to take a case into consideration, it is done on the basis of general supervision, i.e. whether the activities of the relevant party are in accordance with the laws and regulations that apply to driving lessons.
