Citizen of the Nordic Region
If you are a citizen of one of the Nordic countries, you can, as Icelandic citizens, be covered by social security in Iceland when you work in one or more EEA countries, subject to conditions.
Citizen of the EU or EEA country
As a citizen of these countries, you can, as Icelandic citizens, be covered by social security in Iceland when you work in one or more EEA countries, subject to conditions.
Not a citizen of the EU or EEA country
If you are not a citizen of these countries, you can apply for a general insurance policy for work in the EEA area or outside it, as long as you are insured in Iceland.
Refugees and stateless people
If you are a refugee under the Geneva Convention or are stateless, you can, as Icelandic citizens, be covered by social security in Iceland when you work in one or more EEA countries, subject to conditions.
