A1 | 17 years old | 12 lessons | Minimum 5 hours of teaching | Two-wheel motorcycles with or without side-car, with a cubic capacity not exceeding 125 cc and a power not exceeding 11 kW, tricycles with a power not exceeding 15 kW, motorcycles of category AM |
A2 | 19 years old | 24 lessons | Minimum 11 hours of teaching | Two-wheel motorcycles with or without side-car with a maximum power of not more than 35kW, with a maximum power to weight ratio of not more than 0,2 kW/kg. A motorcycle which has not been modified since previously having more than double the power. It also grants AM and A1 rights. |

Costs
Costs depend on the driving school's tariff. You also have to pay test fees at Frumherji and costs for a new driver's license at the District commisioner´s office.
