Permit to operate leisure services for disabled children and young people

Application

Municipalities offer leisure services to children and young people with disabilities. Services shall be personalised, take into account support needs and be part of the individual service plan of the child or young person in question.

The leisure service

Replaces the public leisure service for compulsory schools and ends when the person in question finishes secondary school. The leisure service is available

  • after the school day ends

  • as applicable before the school day begins

  • on days when schools do not work, other than legal holidays

Supporting documents with application

  • Consent for acquiring the applicant's criminal record certificate

  • CV of the applicant or company head

  • Risk assessment plan from Vinnumálastofnun

  • Information on the premises where the service is provided. Location, size, property number according to property register and residential number if applicable

  • Operational plan

  • Last annual financial statement (if the company is already in business)

  • Registration of a company in the Register of Taxes on the Company, stating the legal form, composition of the Board of Directors and the purpose of the Company
