Please note that if you have an active application in relation to a driving license with the District Commissioner, the license is not available on My pages Ísland.is for the time being. This can be an application for a full drivers license or a commercial driving license for an example.

Also note that if you have an old paper driver's license, issued before 1998, but not the newer plastic cards, you cannot apply digitally until you have updated the license at the District commissioner's office. It is best to contact the District commissioner office in your area to renew your driver's license and get the new version. This opens up the possibility of getting a digital driver's license.
