Flight training, Commercial Pilot (ATPL)

Rights of commercial pilots

Priviledges of commercial pilots

The privileges of the holder of a CPL are to operate the aircraft types for which the holder has obtained privileges.

A CPL alone does not necessarily entitle the licence holder to engage in commercial aviation.

For example, pilots must

  • to work for an air carrier licensed to operate passenger services.

  • have performed three take-offs and three landings in the last 90 days on the aircraft type concerned for the purpose of passenger transport.

  • Have a valid medical certificate.
