Introduction

Contacts for driving tests

The examination centre shall appoint a contact person/representative for driving tests. This body maintains communications with the Icelandic Transportation Authority regarding driving tests. Handing over checkbooks and answer keys

The test mode and answer keys are handed over to the staff of the test centre in the test centre. The test mode and answer keys are not sent by regular missions. On delivery, examination centre staff shall confirm receipt of the delivery note and take a copy thereof.

Comments during examinations

If the examiner is informed of or notices any deficiencies in the examination (e.g. wording of questions, answer keys errors, etc.), these shall be notified to the driving licence contact as soon as possible. A contact will send the Directorate of Communications with an e-mail to inform the Directorate of the necessary response.

Lost checkbook or answer keys

If an examination book is lost, the contact shall notify the Icelandic Transport Agency immediately by e-mail and withdraw other copies of the same type. The same applies if a response key is lost.

Damaged examination book or answer keys

If the examination book or answering key is damaged or deemed to be broken for any reason, it shall be returned to the Icelandic Transportation Office and the reasons for the damage stated.

Consultation meetings

Driving test contacts and representatives of the Icelandic Transportation Authority meet monthly to assess the status of driving tests.
