The catch certificate system is now live
The Directorate of Fisheries has finished correcting the errors that occurred during the implementation of EU regulations in the catch certificate system.
Users can now log into the system and create catch certificates, which are then sent to the EU system.
The Directorate of Fisheries would like to point out a few important things:
If processed fish products are involved, a processing statement is required.
The processing statement will be automatically generated in the system along with the catch certificate. Please familiarise yourself with the instructions.
If a catch certificate for products arriving in EU countries from tomorrow onwards has been prepared in the old format, a new certificate must be created.
It is not possible to copy information from a certificate in the old format to a new one.
The old catch certificate will not affect the issuance of the new certificate.
Type or quantity of packages does not need to be registered
Tariff codes on certificates:
Tariff codes on a catch certificate for the raw/unprocessed product and are 6 digits.
Processing certificate: tariff codes are 8 digits
If this error occurs, it is due to a load on the EU system. You can try again in about ten minutes.
Catch certificate is not valid in TRACES. • [HTTP_ERROR] TRACES returned 500 Slóð: RecentRequestsQuotaExceededException
Please note
Exporters and processors of fish products are requested not to enter any information themselves into the EU's TRACES system regarding the issuance of catch and processing certificates.
Doing so may lead to an error resulting in the rejection of the catch or processing certificate.
