The Financial Management Authority has closed an older website and moved to Ísland.is

The Financial Management Authority has moved its website to Ísland.is. The agency considers the new website to be more accessible and better serve its purpose on Ísland.is, where users have increased access to information and services, as well as being able in some cases to use login and 'My Pages' to handle their own issues.
Digital services
The Financial Management Authority has had the needs of users in focus since the last website was opened and worked systematically on the presentation of content with good accessibility in mind. The transfer of the website to Ísland.is was done in collaboration with Stafrænt Ísland, which has the role of supporting the government's institutions on their digital journey. To ensure improved service, the needs of users remain in the first place, and with particular emphasis on reducing routing and waiting times, simplifying delivery and enabling users to complete as many cases as possible on their own.

The new website of the Financial Management Authority, which has been developed with Stafrænt Ísland, is an important step in improving the services of the agency. This is one of many steps taken by the Financial Management Authority in collaboration with Stafrænt Ísland, and the agency received special recognition for its digital steps at the conference "Tengjum ríkið" last year. Clear and simple information in accessible format is an important part of the agency's service and this change now supports continuing development in the right direction.
