  • The number of stays in the three months was 6,756, which is slightly fewer than last year. The number of stays is decreasing and the average number of stays is now 4.4 days compared to 4.9 last year.

  • Most of the patients are admitted to an emergency ward, which accounts for approximately 74% of the total wards.

  • If you look at the occupancy of the wards, the pharmaceutical ward has almost 100% occupancy, the surgical ward has over 83% occupancy, which is less than last year and the same is true for the psychiatric ward. This is because discharges occur earlier than before and the occupancy is better.

  • The number of beds in the children’s ward has been 8 so far but has been redefined and now the number of beds is 6 (including 2 beds in the day ward) and 2 beds in the day ward, so the actual use of beds can be seen more clearly.

  • Over 4,560 people have received services in the outpatient ward, 570 of whom have received cancer medication, compared to 550 medications during the same period last year, and there is a continuous increase in these services.

  • In the emergency department and outpatient department, the number of calls is 4,568 compared to 4,440 at the same time last year, which is comparable to last year’s time. Waiting time for a doctor in the emergency department is now about 42 minutes, which is close to our criteria for 40 minute waiting for a doctor.

  • The number of surgeries in the first three months of the year was 683, which is comparable to the number of operations in 2022. Approximately 27.2% of the surgeries were emergency surgery and artificial joint surgery, 101 compared to 108 artificial joint surgeries in 2022.

  • The number of imaging studies (without mammograms) was approximately 10,144, making an average of about 112 studies per day, which is comparable to the number of studies that have been conducted. Other studies, such as those in the physiology department, have shown little reduction.

  • The birth rate increased during the period, with 106 babies born this year compared to 84 babies born at the same time last year.

  • The year begins with the same pattern as last year regarding arrivals and admissions of non-insured persons.
